- PACIFIC GENERAL SCENARIOS/OPERATION JAPAN PACK:
  Operation Olympic and Coronet Plus
  Release 1.2 - 31/10/1997

IMPORTANT - to play this scenario at all, it is imperative that you
are using the enhanced equipment roster for Pacific General. The roster
adds many new units not available in the "official" releases from SSI,
which this scenario uses. The roster is fully compatible with the
Pacific General main game, scenarios and campaign, so there's no reason
why not to use it! The enhanced equipment roster can be found on the
web at the Pacific General Armory:

INSTALLATION - after unzipping the files, copy or move the "xxx.scn"
files into the "save" directory of your Pacific General folder. To play
choose the "Start a Scenario" option on the main screen. Next choose
the "Load Homemade Scenario" button from the bottom of the screen and
select the "xxx.scn" file. Now you are ready to play!

  SCENARIO NOTES -

  01) Operation Olympic
The planned invasion of Japan by Americans. A titanic army, a
perfect war machine without any weak points, is about to land the
japanese soil. But it won't really easy as it could seem at first
sight. Probably, this scenario is easier if played as the
japanese side. In fact, this is the worst mistake that an allies
player might do: to underestimate the japanese defenses. Okay,
US player, when you see your terrible army at first turn you
could say "already won" and then try to debark your forces on
the closest beaches. Well, in this case you will be crashed for
sure! The Japanese are superentrenched, with major artillery and
AD support. Moreover, Super Yamato is placed in the dock of the
bay with the goal to erase US landing fleet, and jet fighters are
waiting for unlucky bombers! Anyway, the real problem for the
Americans is time: it's a long, long way to Nagasaky and there
are not so many turns to do it.

  02) Coronet Plus
This is the american assault aimed at Tokyo. If you played the
original scenario, you will find several changes in this one: the
japanese defenses are much stronger (especially at Tokyo), the
american attack starts from different points and there is no
soviet army landed in the north of the map (the Americans land
there too). Again it is a race for the Americans, but this time
      looks easier than Operation Olympic.
